Undulating paths.

Hike #12 Wildwood Canyon Loop (West), Thousand Oaks

My borrowed hike book (thanks, Steve!) described this trail in such lavish detail, I thought I was reading L. M. Montgomery or some other fluffy writing.

We ascended knolls and traversed ridges. 

Then descended the undulating path...

to the lush canyon floor.

We crossed footbridges above the bubbling stream. 

And meandered alongside the creek. 

Oh, and we saw this kickass succulent. 

A good reason to be up early!

Hike #6 Los Padres Trail, Thousand Oaks

I can't imagine getting up before 7am for any reason other than hanging out with a good friend; the beautiful hike was just icing on the cake!

Remember the book Bridge to Terabithia? This is how I imagined it. Through the trees...

Couldn't pass the gate here, but how I wanted to!

So I met this sky...couldn't be any sweeter.
